Procedures to activate educational and orientation internships
Companies interested in activating internships must enter into an agreement with Sapienza University of Rome using the portal www.jobsoul.it.
The process lasts around 20 days, after which the company may make internship proposals through the portal.

Procedures to be followed by the companies:
-Nominate a company tutor as the mentor of the intern
-Submit internship opportunities
-Select from the applications of the students and contact them for a job interview
-Print 3 copies of the Educational project approved by the Faculty and give them to the student. The copies must already have been signed and officially stamped by the company’s supervisor.
-If companies wish to activate an educational project for a recent graduate, they must fill in the additional information required by the DGR 199/2013. To do so, the company must access the prescribed page on the Sapienza website at the following link: http://www.uniroma1.it/informazioni_integrative_stage  and print 3 copies of the email received which summarizes the additional internship information required, and attach it to all the copies of the educational project.

Three original copies of the documentation must be given to the internship supervisor of each Department/Faculty to obtain his/her signature.

-On completion of the internship the company must provide the student with the a certificate of attendance which must be on the official company stationery and specify the duration in hours/months of the internship completed by the student.

-Express an evaluation regarding the work of the student by using the company’s internship evaluation module, which must be sent to the tutor of the university by email or post.

Students

Procedure for the students:

-The students/graduates must enrol in the University placement service: SOUL project (University Job orientation system) www.jobsoul.it  (“students & graduates” section) and compile their CV.
-The students/graduates must apply for the internship opportunities offered by companies who are in an agreement with Sapienza University of Rome and addressed to the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering.
The company will contact or call the candidate for an eventual job interview and to define the details of the educational project.
-The students/graduates apply directly to the company when the internship has already been agreed with the host institution.
Once the educational project proposal has been defined the student selects a teacher within the Faculty to be his tutor. Changes to the educational project are managed directly on the system.
-The supervisor of the internship office of the Faculty verifies the educational project proposal proposed by the company and contacts the student or the graduate, who must provide him/her with the name of the tutor. Should the Study Programme so provide, the educational project and the internship activity will be authorized directly by the tutor and/or the study course.
-The internship office of the Faculty will approve through the JOB SOUL portal the Educational proposal of the company. The approval will reach the Company in real-time, which must print 3 copies, officially stamp and sign them.
-The student will collect the copies of the educational project from the company, sign them and hand them in to the Internship office. The Educational projects will be signed by the internships supervisor of the Faculty, Prof. Francesco Napolitano, within 48 hours.
-The student will return in order to obtain 2 copies with the agreement. The internship will start depending on the dates established for the educational project, based on which the third party and accident insurance will be activated.
-On completion of the internship, the student must ask the company to give him/her a certificate on official company Stationery which contains the duration in hours/months of the internship and complete the evaluation questionnaire by accessing his/her reserved area of the SOUL system.
